Advanced 4x4 With Twin-Clutch Rear-Drive Unit

The 2022 Bronco^™ Sport Badlands^™ driveline is engineered to balance off-road capability with on-road performance. The twin-clutch rear-drive unit can send torque to a single rear wheel even when the other three wheels have no traction. It can divert virtually all rear axle torque to either rear wheel. In concert with the vehicle's selectable G.O.A.T. Modes^™ (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain), the hardware introduces the ability to make the vehicle more agile on loose terrain.*

HOSS Suspension

Every Bronco^™ Sport has a High-Performance, Off-Road, Stability, with Suspension (HOSS) System, tested in the wild and optimized to help drivers maintain vehicle composure while aggressively taking on rugged terrain. The system is highlighted by uniquely tuned front struts with hydraulic rebound stops designed to provide a quieter, less jarring off-road experience. In addition, 46 mm diameter monotube rear shocks provide improved response and more comfort off-road, while softer springs and anti-roll bars provide greater articulation over obstacles. *

Auto High-Beam Headlamps

With Auto High-Beam Headlamps, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don't have to catch you off guard. Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on the high beams to light your path ahead. They can even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don't have to worry about blinding other drivers. As a result, you can keep your focus and both hands on the wheel.*

With BLIS^®, you won't have to bother your passenger with "Can I get over?" This feature can help detect and alert you to vehicles in your blind spots, while Cross-Traffic Alert can detect traffic behind you when you're slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway.*

Lane-Keeping System

The Lane-Keeping System (includes Lane-Keeping Assist, Lane-Keeping Alert and Driver Alert) can help you stay in your lane, even during a moment of distraction. This smart feature scans your vehicle's position between the lines in the road ahead and can alert you if you're starting to edge out of your lane. Having trouble staying on track? After you've drifted a few times, you'll see a coffee cup icon, letting you know it's time to take a break.*

Adaptive Cruise Control With Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering

Available on select Ford vehicles is a version of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that employs advanced radar and camera technology.* ACC lets you set a cruising speed and distance from the vehicle ahead of you. When it slows down, you automatically do too; when traffic picks back up, you resume your preset speed and distance. Then comes ACC with Stop-and-Go, which enables you to come to a complete stop when the vehicle ahead stops.* If your stop is longer than three seconds, the driver must intervene and press the "RES" button or the accelerator pedal to resume system operation. Now add Lane Centering, which scans the lane markings to help you stay in your lane if the system detects you're drifting out of it. When equipped on Outer Banks^™ and Badlands^™ models, Intelligent ACC also includes Speed Sign Recognition.

Evasive Steering Assist

It happens. You come upon a slow or stopped vehicle in your path. And you need to take evasive action. That's when available Evasive Steering Assist comes into play, employing the camera and radar sensor technology of the available Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking to detect the vehicle ahead and apply active braking.* If the distance to the vehicle ahead of you isn't too short and a collision can't be avoided by braking alone, Evasive Steering Assist can help you maneuver around the vehicle by providing additional steering support when the effort you're applying is not sufficient.*
